The compression area of automotive harness terminal usually refers to the area contained in the terminal material. If there is a gap, the gap area must be included. The standard compression ratio of household appliances is 70% to 90%, usually controlled at about 85%, with a minimum of no less than 70% and a maximum of no more than 90%.

Compression ratio of automobile harness terminal: generally, the compression ratio is between 15% and 20%. The quality of the compression connection depends on the amount of compression. It is controlled by the size of pressure connection tool, pressure foot and wire section. Therefore, it is very important that the cross-sectional area of wire used in mass production of terminal wire is the same as that used in pressure connection design confirmation. When mass producing automobile harness terminals, verify the compression by using pressure connection samples of terminals, wires and pressure connection tools.
